Some facts
  • This project allows you to use more than 1000 free dictionaries for more than 60 languages. There is no other project like Dicts.info .
  • Only about 0.01% of world's population know about this project. There are millions out there who would like to have free dictionaries.
  • More than 50% of world's population has one or more free dictionaries for their mother tongue at Dicts.info .
  • You can use free dictionaries online AND offline - ( you just have to download dictionaries and offline dictionary applications ).
  • There is high probability that your friends do not know about this project yet - please tell them.
  • Free dictionaries are not perfect and do not contain all words but it is definitely better to have them than to have nothing.
  • Without your help it would take about 10 years for most users to "discover" this project.
  • The more users use the dictionaries the more entries are corrected and added - the better the dictionaries will be.
  • This project will soon have many exciting new features - you just have to tell us about them so we can code them!
  • Many sites with links onto dictionaries are not maintained anymore - no new links are added.
  • Right now most users use free dictionaries like freedict.com or travlang.com - dictionaries at Dicts.info are 5x to 10x larger!
  • Most users have no idea there is a project with this many free dictionaries.
  • Unlike other dictionary projects this project is updated very often and new dictionaries are added frequently.
  • No other project builds a system like the Universal dictionary (it interconnects all languages in the system).
  • We add every single new free dictionary you tell us about - it only has to be compatible with our notation.
  • Most free dictionaries are scattered all over the net so it is difficult to find them. We have most of them at Dicts.info .
  • It is very easy to use our free dictionaries. Do you have an idea how to improve? Then tell us!

Our ultimate goal is to have free dictionaries for ALL languages (there are only about 200 living languages - we have free dictionaries for more than 60 already!). We can do it if we all work together!

Tell your friends about this project. It is good to know about free dictionaries. Everyone then has a choice to use or not to use free dictionaries. Users who do not know about this project have no choice and cannot use free dictionaries (or they use dictionaries with very few translations and complain that they need a better dictionary). Please help us change that.
